Brad Beck is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Specialized Services Group, LLC.  He is a decorated Law Enforcement veteran with a major metropolitan police department with 33 years of service.  Retired from full-time service in 2015, he continues to serve as a Fully Sworn Reserve Officer.

 

For the past 22 years, Brad has been a member of his agency's SWAT team.  This unit is a dedicated, full-time FEMA Type 1 unit with nearly sixty members.  As a senior member, Brad's duties included; senior instructor with the training cadre, lead firearms instructor, team leader certified, counter-sniper certified, lead unit armorer, team medic, and lead Technology Officer.  As a Sworn Reserve Officer, Brad continues to serve in the same capacities with his agency's SWAT team.

Brad has logged thousands of training hours from various law enforcement, US Military, and private sector organizations nationwide.  He holds numerous firearms, tactics, and armorer certifications.  As a master-level instructor and trainer, Brad has trained hundreds of students in law enforcement from local, state, and federal agencies and trained select units or members from within the US Military.  He also provides training to select individuals from within the private sector.

Brad has worked closely for many years with his agency, the USSS, and the Dept of Justice dignitary protection details as a counterpart team member and Team Leader for numerous heads of State and High-Security level Personnel worldwide.  He helped develop his agency's dignitary protection training program and continues to train personnel. 
 
Brad has worked closely within the firearms training industry and has been instrumental in the design, development, and implementation of several firearms and tactics-related training programs for Law Enforcement and the US Military, including Special Response Teams (SRT) for the US ARMY, US Marines and the US Department of Defense.  He has worked closely with the Government, Military, Law Enforcement, and Private Entities to evaluate facilities and security forces' physical security and readiness. 
 
Brad has played critical roles in helping to develop policies, procedures, tactics, techniques, and protocols to address deficiencies in base, facility, and personnel readiness.  In addition, he is recognized by the courts and a primary government agency as a subject matter expert in various areas of expertise.

Brad is a Master Shooting Instructor and armorer instructor for multiple firearms manufacturers.  He works as an adjunct instructor with Sig Sauer Academy and does consultation work within firearms, security, law enforcement, and military training industries. 
 
Brad has served as his unit's lead Technology Officer over the past two decades and has conducted testing, evaluation, and product development on new and emerging technologies introduced into the Public Safety market and for First Responder deployment.

Brad also works within the NextGen IoT communications software industry and has been instrumental in the founding and launching of two software technology start-up companies where he serves as the VP of Operations for BeamLive, Inc., and is the Managing Director with Beam911, LLC.  Brad is also a co-founder and Board Member of Ka Lama Kuhikuhi Foundation, a Non-Profit Organization dedicated to the enrichment of Native Hawaiians, and their communities.
